Alex Hoeker
Alex Hoeker is a Utah-based real estate professional affiliated with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in Salt Lake City, where he works closely alongside established agent, Jacqueline Perry. Originally from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Alex relocated to Texas after graduating high school to join the United States Army; his discipline and strong character allowed him to advance quickly. Over the following three years, he became a Combat Engineer and would eventually be raised to the rank of Sergeant. Alex attributes much of his success today to his experiences while enlisted—the lessons on discipline, responsibility, hard work and communication have served him well throughout his ensuing professional career.
Grateful for his time in the Armed Forces, Alex rejoined civilian life in 2019, attending the University of North Carolina where he studied Exercise Science. Although it was a field he loved, two years into the program Alex discovered a love and natural talent for real estate. Also yearning for the mountains and the recreational opportunities found in the Intermountain West, he packed his bags and headed to Utah. While working towards his Utah real estate license, Alex worked as a shop manager in Park City and fell in love with Utah’s iconic landscape, fantastic climate and breathtaking natural scenery.
Alex joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in January of 2023, after seeking a brokerage that had both the reputation and resources to help him develop his own career. He learned that the Utah affiliate of the global Sotheby’s Realty brand offered access to a far-reaching, international network and an unmatched local reputation for excellence. Realizing their core values for hard work aligned with his own, the decision was easy. Now, utilizing the talents and services of an entire team of in-house marketing professionals allows Alex to focus his full attention on his clients and their properties—providing a luxury experience for every transaction, regardless of the area, size or price point of home.
Alex looks forward to helping buyers and sellers at all price points with their real estate needs—especially fellow veterans. Described as diligent, driven and caring, when he’s not helping his clients achieve their real estate goals, Alex is spending time with his friends and German Shepherd, Raksha. He’s a huge fan of football and loves being outdoors; you can find him taking in Utah’s natural beauty year-round while skiing, hiking, exploring and camping throughout the Beehive State.
